Prior to joining Intuit Dan held social strategy and business development roles for startups Ustream, Mahalo and JumpTV. Dan studied Law & Society at the University of California, Santa Barbara and did attend his first day of Law school in 2007 but opted to stick with what he loved and the startup he was at the time… it all worked out. |

| A seasoned market researcher, my graduate education is in research psychology (MA) and applied statistics (MSPH). It’s a balance of qualitative and quantitative research – inspiring the name of my company, Q2 Insights. My experience spans the academic and real world domains, the latter including tenure in both supplier and client-side research roles. In 1991, I founded Focus Research, Inc. (renamed Q2 Insights in 2011). Since then I have had the privilege of leading a team of highly talented research professionals, often traveling nationally and internationally to further my skills. |

Here in San Diego, Jimmy has worked for a diverse host of firms including Xerox, Accelrys and Provide Commerce, owners of ProFlowers and other e-commerce gifting brands. In addition to his 9 to 5, he manages his own digital marketing consultancy and is founder of Finest City Digital which produces software products such as SEMSpider.

| In my sphere the best marketing is being done in business-to-business process modeling and offensive strategy. Fantastic software companies and brilliant in-house marketers are creating the deepest insight into revenue models ever. I have a lot of respect for companies like Eloqua, Marketo and HubSpot if I have to name names. |

| Although I do not work directly in marketing, I see marketing as the fun aspect of the business language that allows businesses who harness it appropriately and effectively to grow exponentially. Since client growth is an important aspect of what I do, I am constantly learning and using marketing strategy to grow my career. |

| I am a fan of what Apple did to reach its target demographic in the Mac versus PC commercials. The campaign must have worked well since other businesses, i.e. T-Mobile versus AT&T, have piggy backed on the thought. |

| Brandon serves as the Marketing Manager for UC San Diego Extension’s Public Service Cluster, which includes Healthcare, Behavioral Sciences, Teacher Education and the OSHA Training Institute Education Center. After graduating from UC Santa Barbara, in addition to consulting on marketing and operations projects with a variety of organizations, he has held positions in advertising agencies and companies across Southern California ranging from media buying to sales to strategic market planning. Brandon is also actively involved in the community sharing his expertise with various non-profit organizations, is a member of the San Diego County Football Officials Association and is a graduate of the LEAD San Diego Impact program, class of 2012. Summer 2012 also marked the launch of his first company. |

| Without a doubt, the people. From my fellow Board Members to the chapter volunteers while including the members and attendees – the people I have met and the relationships I have formed (both professional and personal) have been well worth the investment of time and energy I put in and will keep me involved in the SDAMA for a long time to come. |

| ESPN – not only am I a huge sports fan, but the marketing and branding they do is excellent. The “This is SportsCenter” campaign shows they have a good handle on who they are trying to reach not just utilizing demographics such as age and gender, but also examining the types of personalities and psychographics their customers have and tailoring their messages accordingly. |

Elizabeth’s experience in the financial services industry began in 2004, when she joined Citibank/SmithBarney as a Licensed Sales Associate. Before moving to San Diego in 2008, Ms. Snyder worked as both a Wealth Advocate and Client Relations Manager for WrapManager, Inc., a Registered Investment Advisory Firm. Most recently, she served as a Sales and Marketing Associate at The Northern Trust Company for four years. Elizabeth obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from University of California at San Diego and is currently pursuing a Certificate in Marketing from UCSD Extension. |
