Sponsorship
Brian Kellerman, Vice President
OPEN: Committee Member (2-4 hours/month) – Maintain, grow and diversify cash and in-kind sponsorships for the chapter and its events and activities. Spread the word about the wide variety sponsorship opportunities and value SDAMA has to offer. Develop and sell custom sponsorship packages that fit the needs/goals of corporate, agencies and suppliers. -
Membership
John Ruzicka, Vice President
OPEN: Corporate Relations Manager (1-2 hours/week) – San Diego AMA is committed to being a resource for marketing expertise as well as a local community of marketing professionals. Connect with marketing leaders at San Diego’s best companies and share the value of AMA membership and our local chapter. Build relationships to increase involvement and membership. -
Communications
Jimmy Page, Vice President
OPEN: Editorial Manager (4-6 hours/month) – The SDAMA communications team is seeking an experienced, well connected local marketer to manage an editorial calendar for the team. Initially this position will focus on the blog channel specifically, and building a team of bloggers. The editorial manager will be tasked with creating and managing the blogging calendar, establishing a consistent cadence to timing and content, and maintaining strong relationships with contributors.OPEN: Email Marketing Specialist (4-6 hours/month) – The email marketing specialist position is critical to the success of the SDAMA. This person will be instrumental in ensuring consistent branding, messaging, and timing of email marketing efforts. Responsibilities are as follows.
- Maintain a schedule of emails for all event promotion, thought leadership content, etc
- Work with the copy writer to Create all emails in an HTML template outside of the email program
- Must have knowledge of and access to Dreamweaver or another HTML editor
- Upload, test, and send all emails
- Report on email effectiveness
- Provide insight and recommendations on improving email performance
- This person is ideally experienced in email marketing

AMY Awards
Dan Bishop, Committee Chair
OPEN: Social Media Expert (2-3 hours/week through June only) – Use your experience with Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn to promote SD AMA’s 2011 American Marketer of the Year (AMY) Awards. Share event details and foster discussions on our communities to build excitement about the Awards, increase entries, and drive attendance. -
