Kristin Kovner Past Events Kristin Kovner is a Senior Marketing Director at AOL, where she sets and executes the consumer and business marketing strategies for AOL’s 40+ owned and operated content sites, including AOL.com, Engadget, MapQuest, Moviefone, TechCrunch, and The Huffington Post. Prior to joining AOL, Kristin served as the Head of Industry Marketing at YouTube and held various positions on Google’s marketing team. Kristin has also worked as a journalist for Newsweek and SmartMoney, The Wall Street Journal’s magazine, and as an economic consultant at Bates White LLC. Kristin graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from Yale College.

More than just theory, Tom’s presentation included stories and lessons learned the hard way through many years of trial and error.  Tom Halle has spent over eighteen years as a technologist and entrepreneur, and an additional ten years building and evangelizing high-growth alliances for global leaders in IT and communications.  He has created groundbreaking partnerships with companies such as IBM, Microsoft, Nokia, Motorola, VMware, Siebel, Check Point, and Symantec, delivering customer value, breaking into new geographies and vertical markets, shutting out market and portfolio competitors, and facilitating hundreds of millions of dollars in new revenue.

Digital Marketing and Integrated Media at Intuit presents: Using Digital Advertising as a Platform to Extend Social Media and Offline Advertising.

Brian Hovis, Senior Manager, Digital Marketing and Integrated Media – Intuit

The audience learned how Intuit’s TurboTax brand utilizes its core digital advertising campaign to fuel targeted, integrated, and extended reach for its “Friends Like You” social campaign and its national offline campaigns.  This luncheon specifically focused on integration across creative, media and analytics. Brian Hovis manages online advertising for Intuit’s consumer brands (TurboTax and Quicken), with a focus of online display advertising, analytics and social media. He’s responsible for ensuring that integration across online channels (display, social, affiliate, search) is achieved when working with partners, but also tight integration with offline advertising, as seen in Intuit’s social campaign and integration with the TurboTax NBC network partnership.

Educational Luncheon: Metrics Matter: Moving Beyond the Click-Through Rate

In today’s market, better metrics are no longer optional – they’re critical. Attendees took away ideas for campaign measurement that they can implement immediately. Anderson Crosby, CEO of Relecom, discussed the importance of measurement beyond the click-through rate, along with the tactics that marketers at companies like FedEx and Thermador are using to improve their online marketing results. Mr. Crosby has more than 15 years of experience working with Fortune 500 companies in the advertising and marketing arena. He has developed and managed comprehensive, integrated direct and digital marketing strategies and programs.

Jesse Nichols manages Analytics Partnerships for agencies and consultancies at Google in San Francisco. He primarily focuses on managing the ever-growing Google Analytics Certified Partner program – a global network of over 200 agencies whose web analytics capabilities has been exhaustively vetted. The panelists will share their ideas about brand and digital marketing. Our moderator for the session is Dr. Mary Beth McCabe. This is sure to be an entertaining and engaging conversation among some of the market’s advertising thought leaders.
