SAN DIEGO, CALIF. (October 28, 2015) — The San Diego chapter of the American Marketing Association is honored to be recognized for its enhanced focus on professional development by winning three Chapter Excellence Awards for the 2014-15 fiscal year.
Among 76 international chapters, the San Diego AMA was among the few awarded excellence and special merit designations in three key categories:
- Leadership: Noted for an exceptionally strong, dedicated base of volunteers, leadership development programs, and performance measurement.
- Communications: Recognized for a valuable content marketing program, personal outreach, social media engagement, CRM, and brand management
- Membership: Commended for winning all three of the AMA’s most recent acquisition campaigns, growing corporate and group membership, and enhancing member value at the local level.
As a 501(c)3 non-profit, San Diego AMA relies on the generous support of all its partners to help it achieve its goals.
“Without the gracious support and resources of our sponsors, we couldn’t be nearly as effective at fulfilling our mission of developing powerhouse marketers in the San Diego business community,” said San Diego AMA president David Palmer.
“Our members are an eclectic, inclusive group of professional marketers from leading brands and agencies who really go out of their way to make a connection, provide a referral, or lend valuable support and guidance for their fellow members,” Palmer continued. “And our volunteers devote their precious time and apply their valuable expertise to create career-advancing opportunities for our members.”
“These are the key players that drive the continued success and growth of San Diego AMA. We owe them a debt of gratitude for their continued, selfless support of the San Diego marketing community.”
