The San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) Energy Innovation Center in San Diego is the site of the next exciting SDAMA event. It’s the ideal place for an expert panel to share its tips on how to stand out in a crowded social media world. That’s because the 27,000- square-foot Center is a standout in its own right.
“Breaking Though the Social Media Clutter” will feature three successful social media marketing strategy and content experts who will share with you what it takes to get an edge in the competitive world of social media marketing.
If you feel your social media presence is lacking, (little to zero engagement and interaction with the content you’re posting), then this event is right for you. Be ready to learn to:
- Engage partners to tell each other’s stories
- Have more meaningful conversation with customers.
- Use social media tactics to address brandishing challenges.
Check out our social media expert panel:
David Lawrence is social media and web manager for San Diego Gas & Electric, who oversees the social media strategy and execution for the public utility company as well as its website, www.SDGE.com, mobile apps, intranet and support for e-services. SDG&E provides energy to 3.3 million customers in San Diego and Orange counties.
Bill Vieux is a partner and CTO of Casual Fridays Interactive, a social media and content marketing agency that helps its clients engage, attract and retain customers on social media.
We know we can’t cover everything you ever needed to know about social media marketing in one session, but we promise to get you moving in the right direction with some timely and relevant information to help you boost your profile on social media and gain a loyal following of real and potential customers.
We’ll see you on Oct. 24. Don’t forget totake a selfie inside or outside the Energy Innovation Center after the event and let your friends know that you are ready and serious about standing out in the increasingly competitive social media world.
More about The San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) Energy Innovation Center
The Center, which opened in 2012, is one of the most eco-friendly buildings around that is open to the public. This solar-paneled building runs on only one battery- the sun- and is 85 percent made from recycled material.
The Center was once a grocery store but is now one of only 10 buildings in the world to achieve double LEED® Platinum certification. (Platinum is the highest rating in the LEED® – Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design- certification system of the U.S. Green Building Council®. The Center earned LEED Platinum for New Construction and Major Renovation in August 2012, and Existing Buildings: Operation and Maintenance (EBOM®) in December 2013.)
More than 30,000 people visited the Center last year for tours and seminars. We encourage you to tour the facility after the social media panel discussion, which is from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
