COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

We are rebranding and unifying our Mako and Rabco companies while we are actively finding new ways to expand.

You will be responsible for developing the communications program and public relations initiatives that enhances corporate visibility, leverages our market position to the business community, educate and engage our target audiences.

The ideal candidate will be excited to communicate our unique company culture at a national level and connect employee work to our mission. This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.

THE POSITION

  • Responsible for copywriting and co-responsible for creating or collecting content for all marketing tactics and collateral
  • Execute and deliver press worthy national and regional media campaigns
  • Develop and manage our annual B2B communications calendar and customize approaches across products and services
  • Take story ideas from concept to launch – creating content that resonate through media relations (internal messaging, marketing, social media, thought leadership initiatives)
  • Elevate our media efforts through data-driven storytelling
  • Provide brand awareness, reputation and crisis support. Develop timely reactive responses
    Execute go-to-market campaigns

MEDIA RELATIONS

  • Create and implement PR outreach program
  • Craft press releases and managing media relations
  • Developing press kit
  • Support new business outreach and initiatives
  • Raise awareness and public profile of the organization
  • Research media coverage and industry trends pertinent to our clients

SOCIAL MEDIA, CAMPAIGNS, WEBSITE, BROCHURES & NEWSLETTERS

  • Copywriting and editing for all channels
  • Lead the editorial process, including narrative and story development, content calendar development, and story identification
  • Daily/weekly updates to social media platforms
  • Identify trends and insights and provide recommendations based on findings
  • Support development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns
  • Lead in the procurement, inventory and fulfillment of all marketing materials (flow material, sales promotions, events, trade shows, conventions, etc.)
  • Assist in data integration from various platforms such as HubSpot and Salesforce

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • You understand how to craft narratives that actively engage our business community. You have a keen sense of prioritization and ability to consistently produce high-level workstreams end-to-end. You are excited by the opportunity to build a Corporate Communications function from the ground up for a fast-growing company
  • Ten (10) years’ experience in a communications, corporate communications or public relations role; communications experience at a media or advertising agency experience a plus
  • Portfolio demonstrating best-in-class PR campaigns, including media placements and a variety of writing samples (press releases, pitches, etc.)
  • Outstanding storytelling skills
  • Experience with customizing communications for a national and local audience, using multiple channels and mediums
  • Excellent knowledge and experience developing and implementing communication plans
  • Deep experience with short and long-form creative content writing, development, storytelling, and proactive communications
  • Email communication expertise including audience segmentation and analysis
  • Use of HubSpot, Salesforce and embedding the subsequent data and analytics into the communications efforts

Salary Range: 80,000 - 85,000
