Social Media: Be Seen in 2018

Manish Dudharejia and Kevin Svec of E2M Solutions.

Social media remains one of the marketing community’s favorite discussion topics and greatest challenges.

How do you remain relevant to, and more importantly, drive engagement from your audience? Well, of course, it’s (mostly) about great content.

We brought two people very close to the subject, Manish Dudharejia and Kevin Svec of digital agency E2M Solutions, into the podcast studio to update us on evolving social media algorithms and best practices in 2018.

This is especially important on Facebook as the platform attempts to chart a course favoring engagement and reducing the visibility of “fake news” following the negative PR it continues to receive from the 2016 presidential election. Don’t worry, we gave Twitter and LinkedIn their fair share of airtime, too.

We also talked about Manish’s experience expanding his agency from his native India into the U.S. via San Diego.

Update for new readers!

Let’s look at a few examples, both local and national of solid social media campaigns.

The first, any one of our personal favorites in recent years is Chiquita’s partial eclipse campaign. Check out the video below:

Does your team have to be part of a multi-national corporation to make good content? No way! Sometimes even simple messages work wonders. Audi Bellevue in Washington is a great example of local social media. They re-purpose a lot of corporate content in a local way for their followers. Check out their Facebook page here.

A wonderful local San Diego example is the San Diego Surf School. Their twitter feed is full of a mixture of content from articles to original content:

Don’t forget to leverage your reviews on social media!
